Isolated thunderstorm activity is expected in Georgia this afternoon. A couple of strong to severe storms could occur between 3 PM and 9 PM. The primary hazards would be dime to quarter size hail and isolated downbursts with wind gusts in the 40 to 60 mph range. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday... Rain showers and thunderstorms will continue in Georgia between Saturday and Wednesday. A couple of strong to severe storms could occur during this period, however the risk of severe weather on any given day remains low at this time. Rainfall totals between 1 and 3 inches are expected by Wednesday, with isolated amounts in the 4 to 5 inch range. If this rainfall materializes a couple of local rivers could climb above flood stage. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight. $$
