.DISCUSSION...

Good afternoon, Nathan. Cool and dry conditions are expected to
persist across the area tomorrow. At ignition time, temperatures
will be just below freezing, but will warm through the late morning,
reaching 40 degrees by noon and up to a high of 47 degrees in the
mid to late afternoon. Relative humidity values at ignition time
will be just under 50 percent, decreasing to under 30 percent by 1
PM and down to a minimum of 25 percent at 3-4 PM. At this time, no
Fire Danger Statement has been issued, as RH are anticipated to
reach critical thresholds for only a couple of hours. 20 ft winds
will be light, at 2 mph or less through the day, starting the
morning from N and shifting to NW after 1 PM. Occasional wind gusts
between 7-10 mph will be possible through the majority of the day.
Transport winds over the burn site will be primarily N throughout
the day, at 10-12 mph in the morning hours and 6-8 mph between noon
and 2 PM. Transport winds will diminish to 5 mph or less by 3 PM.
Mixing heights are forecast to be around 1500 ft at ignition time,
increasing through the morning to 2500-3000 ft during the afternoon.
The combination of these transport winds and mixing heights will
promote moderate dispersion over the burn site through the early
afternoon.

Winds will be nearly calm after sunset and through the overnight
hours. With dewpoint values lingering in the mid-teens overnight, RH
values will rise to as high as about 70 percent early Friday
morning. As such, fog formation is not expected during the early
morning on Friday. Snow will become likely over the burn site as
early as 7 AM on Friday and through the remainder of the morning,
which will then transition to rain in the early afternoon. Please
feel free to contact us if you have any further questions or
concerns.
