601 FNUS72 KFFC 282055 FWSFFC Spot Forecast for Woodeye...USFS National Weather Service Peachtree City GA 455 PM EDT Fri Mar 28 2025 Forecast is based on forecast start time of 1900 EDT on March 28. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION... Dry weather will prevail tonight and into the day on Saturday before the chance for isolated to scattered showers increases from Saturday evening into Saturday night. Winds will be primarily south at 5 to 10 mph with some degree of easterly component at times through the night given the topography of the site of the fire. Wind direction is expected to remain south to southeast on Saturday with speeds gradually increasing through the afternoon toward 10-12 mph with gusts 15-20 mph likely by afternoon. Skies will remain overcast to mostly cloudy through the bulk of the day with primarily midlevel ceilings in the 10-15 kft range expected. Mixing heights on Saturday are forecast to reach around 3800 feet during the afternoon. With gradual moisture return continuing on Saturday ahead of our next storm system, minimum RH values are forecast to remain in the mid-40 percent range - higher than we have seen over the past several days. Scattered showers become possible Saturday night, though rainfall amounts would be fairly light (likely under a tenth of an inch). The bulk of more appreciable rainfall would hold off until later Sunday into Monday. .REST OF TONIGHT... Sky/weather.........Partly cloudy (35-45 percent) then becoming mostly cloudy (70-80 percent).
