Given recent rainfall, there is a marginal risk for flash flooding in the far northern mountains in Gilmer, Fannin, Union, and Towns counties. Winds generally out of the Southwest at 7 to 12 mph. Gusts up to 20 mph are possible especially at higher elevations. Winds may be variable in valleys due to terrain. Winds remain south to southwesterly through the weekend and slowly tapper off through Monday morning (peaking each afternoon and weakening overnight). Broken to overcast skies. No thunder expected.
