.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather conditions are expected at this time.
Relative humidity and winds will remains outside critical thresholds.
Scattered light showers and drizzle are ongoing across portions of
central and east Georgia, which will continue to decrease in
coverage through the pre-dawn hours. Low cloud ceilings and patchy
fog are expected through the early morning hours, with mostly cloudy
to overcast skies remaining through the day. Winds this afternoon
will be E to NE at 5-10 mph and minimum RH values will range from 55-
75 percent. The break from precipitation will be brief, with
scattered showers entering west Georgia by the late afternoon. A
steady moderate to heavy rain is then expected to spread across the
area overnight into Tuesday morning. Rainfall totals will range from
1-2 inches areawide and thunderstorms are not expected. The next
favorable time for burning may not be until Wednesday, though it
will likely only be a brief window before cloud cover increases on
Thursday and rain returns Thursday night into Friday.
