.DISCUSSION...Minimum RH values this afternoon are forecast to drop
to around 20 percent across the majority of the forecast area. With
10 hour fuels expected to remain very dry, a Fire Danger Statement
has been issued. Light NW winds in the morning will become W and
increase in speed. Gusts over 20 mph are possible across the higher
elevations of North Georgia.
A dry cold front will sweep across the area on Saturday. RH values
will drop to near 20 percent again. W to NW winds will increase after
frontal passage, with gusts over 25 mph across much of the area. Wind
gusts in the NE mountains will gust closer to 35 mph. A Red Flag
Warning may be required.
