.DISCUSSION...
No hazardous fire weather conditions are expected at this time, as
relative humidity values and winds will remain outside of critical
thresholds today and Monday.
Aside from the possibility of an isolated shower in portions of
south-central Georgia this afternoon, rain chances will be minimal
throughout the week. Minimum RH values this afternoon will range
from 50-60 percent this afternoon, then will be slightly lower on
Monday, ranging from 40-50 percent. Winds will be light and variable
in the far northern tier today. Elsewhere across the area, winds
will be primarily E to NE at 5-10 mph, with the highest values in
central Georgia. WInds on Monday will shift to NW by sunrise,
increasing to 6-12 mph with occasional gusts as high as 20 mph in
portions of far north Georgia. Better ventilation is expected as
the are begins to dry out over the next couple of days. Mixing
heights are forecast to largely range from 4500-6500 ft in the
afternoon today and tomorrow.
