.DISCUSSION...The initial passage of the front is across the
region. This will yield to moderate northerly winds through the
afternoon. 20 foot winds will mainly trend around 10 kt with
higher gusts. The winds could temporarily decrease during the
evening before a secondary frontal surge with an even stronger
northerly winds and much colder air arrives tonight into Sunday.
Clear skies are expected with minimum humidity levels dropping
to near 30 percent this afternoon and to near 20 percent on
Sunday afternoon. Combination of the winds and minimum humidity
result in locally elevated fire weather conditions for this
afternoon and elevated to near critical levels for Sunday
afternoon. Expect a cold night tonight with wind chills in the
teens to low 20s Sunday morning. Colder Sunday as well with the
afternoon highs only in the low to mid 40s.
