.DISCUSSION...
Periods of breezy southerly wind are forecast through Friday.
Minimum afternoon humidity each day will stay above 30 percent in
the east, but may fall as low as 20 percent over the Rio Grande
Plains and southern Edwards Plateau. The combination of breezy
wind, low humidity and dry fuels will bring elevated fire weather
conditions each afternoon. Chances for showers and thunderstorms
increase in the west Friday night with chances increasing across
the entire area Saturday night into Sunday morning as a cold front
moves into the region. Drier air will move back into the western
part of the area Sunday and keep humidity below 30 percent through
Monday.
