.DISCUSSION...
Well above normal temperatures will continue through the weekend
and into early next week across all of south central Texas. The
hot temperatures will drop minimum humidity levels below 20
percent for the southern Edwards Plateau and Rio Grande Friday and
again early next week. Wind speeds are also forecast to increase
over the weekend and into early next week, leading to some areas
of elevated to near-critical fire weather conditions. A cold front
is forecast to move through the region Tuesday night into
Wednesday. There are low chances (20-30%) for isolated showers and
storms Saturday afternoon and evening across the Hill Country,
southern Edwards Plateau and Rio Grande, and on Tuesday across the
Hill Country and portions of the I-35 corridor.
