.DISCUSSION...
The lack of significant rainfall over the past month for most
of South-Central Texas has led to flash drought conditions. No
rain is expected through the next week. The dry conditions along
with low afternoon humidity, especially Saturday and Sunday, will
continue to promote the drying of fuels across the region.
Minimum RH values in the 20-30% range Saturday and Sunday will
rise a little into the 25-40% range next week. Although winds
will be less than 10 mph, the drying fuels may create elevated
fire weather conditions through the next week, especially near and
east of the I-35 corridor where fuels are more drought stressed.
