.DISCUSSION...
Rest of today: Gusty northerly to northwesterly winds will
continue, however much cooler temperatures will keep minimum
humidities above 20 percent most areas. The exception being along
the Rio Grande where minimum humidities will dip between the upper
teens and lower 20s making for elevated to near critical fire
weather conditions, and therefore, a Fire Danger Statement for
that area through 7 PM CDT. Monday, minimum humidities will be
at or less than 20 percent across most areas, however winds will
be less than 10 mph for only elevated fire weather. Wednesday, a
dryline will move across bringing much drier air to the western
half of the area. Winds should stay below critical levels. Friday
and Friday night another dryline and cold front will bring dry air
along with strong, gusty winds for Saturday. Critical fire
weather conditions are likely for the entire area.
