.DISCUSSION...
No rain is expected through the next week. Ample sunshine along
with low afternoon humidity will continue to promote the drying
of fuels across the region. Minimum RH values will generally be in
the 25-35% range, except a brief surge of greater than 40% across
the Rio Grande Plains and the Edwards Plateau on Tuesday. 20 foot
winds of generally 10 mph or less will prevail with the exception
of 10 to 15 mph and gusty mainly across the Rio Grande and Edwards
Plateau on some days. The combination of the drying fuels, low
humidities, and gusty winds may create elevated fire weather
conditions at times through the next week, especially near and
east of the I-35 corridor where fuels are more drought stressed.
