The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Bexar County in south central Texas...
  Southwestern Comal County in south central Texas...
  East Central Medina County in south central Texas...

* Until 1230 AM CST.

* At 921 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
  have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3 inches in 1
  hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in
  the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  San Antonio, Castroville, San Antonio Int Airport, Canyon Lake,
  Leon Valley, Helotes, Fair Oaks Ranch, Bulverde, Shavano Park,
  Hollywood Park, Cross Mountain, Lacoste, The Dominion, Leon
  Springs, Government Canyon State Natural Area, Sea World, Cliff,
  Lackland AFB, Timberwood Park and Rio Medina.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
