...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM MST THIS
MORNING...
...EXTREME COLD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory this morning, cold wind
  chills as low as 1 degree below zero. Colder and windier for the
  Extreme Cold Watch for Monday night through Tuesday morning,
  dangerously cold wind chills 10 to 15 degrees below zero over area
  mountains and 5 degrees below zero to 5 degrees across the
  lowlands possible.

* WHERE...Sacramento Mountains, Otero Mesa, East Central Tularosa
  Basin/Alamogordo, Southeast Tularosa Basin, Northern Hudspeth
  Highlands/Hueco Mountains, Salt Basin, and Southern Hudspeth
  Highlands.

* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, until 9 AM MST this morning.
  For the Extreme Cold Watch, from Monday evening through Tuesday
  morning.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
  is exposed to these temperatures. Wind chill values can lead to
  hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

  cold wind chills. 10 to 15 degrees below zero over area mountains.
  5 degrees below zero to 5 degrees across the lowlands possible.

* WHERE...The Gila Region, Sierra County Lakes, and West Central
  Tularosa Basin/White Sands.

* WHEN...From Monday evening through Tuesday morning.
