...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM MDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central New Mexico, including the
  following counties, Dona Ana and Otero and western Texas,
  including the following counties, El Paso and Hudspeth.

* WHEN...Until 300 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
  occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1157 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.25 and 0.79 inch of
    rain has fallen.
  - Additional rainfall of up to 0.25 to 0.50 inches is expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
    West El Paso, East El Paso, Central El Paso, Northeast El
    Paso, Far East El Paso, Mission Valley, Horizon City, Clint,
    Fabens, Tornillo, Hueco Tanks, Anthony, Santa Teresa, Sunland
    Park and San Elizario.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
