area. Therefore, the dust advisory has been cancelled.

...A DUST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM MDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN OTERO COUNTY...

At 1219 AM MDT, the leading edge of blowing dust along an outflow
boundary has pushed into the west slopes of the Sacramento
Mountains, and southeast of U.S. Highway 70, but blowing dust is
likely to continue for a short time along U.S. Highways 54 and 70.
Visibilities should gradually improve.

Wind gust reports have diminished to around 45 mph.

Scattered thunderstorms will likely develop over some areas as the
outlfow boundary interacts with the higher terrain of the Sacramento
Mountains.

HAZARD...Less than a mile visibility with  with strong winds up to
         45 mph.

SOURCE...Doppler radar.

IMPACT...Hazardous travel.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 70 in New Mexico between mile markers 182 and 212.
 Highway 54 in New Mexico between mile markers 34 and 100.

Locations impacted include...
White Sands National Park, Tularosa, Three Rivers, Alamogordo,
Sunspot, Bent, Burro Flats, High Rolls, La Luz, Holloman Air Force
Base, Mountain Park, Lower Nogal Canyon, Boles Acres, Karr Canyon,
Oliver Lee State Park, Laborcita Canyon, San Patricio, Alamorosa, and
Three Rivers Petroglyph Site.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving
conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in
dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep
your foot off the brake.

Motorists should not drive into an area of blowing dust. PULL ASIDE
STAY ALIVE!
