Updated at 1015 PM MST Thu Nov 27 2025 - Warmer than average temperatures continue Friday and Saturday with dry and pleasant conditions. - A cold front will push in Sunday morning bringing easterly breeziness that morning and temperatures becoming below normal. - Gradual warming temperatures through the work week next week. Dry conditions and light afternoon breezes each day. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 1015 PM MST Thu Nov 27 2025 Dry and quiet conditions persist through Saturday with above normal temperatures. A pacific storm system will pass over the central Rockies Saturday which will shove a colder airmass down south and into the Borderland by late Saturday night and Sunday morning. Winds will increase with the frontal passage with wind speeds generally 15- 25 mph that morning, with more gustier conditions on west facing slopes like the Huecos, San Andres/Organs, and west El Paso. Blustery conditions expected Sunday morning. Gusts will reach into the 40 mph range. Winds relax heading into the afternoon but will be a low end breezy day. High temperatures will dip into the low to mid 50s east of the Rio Grande with mid 50s and low 60s seen west of the Rio Grande on Sunday. A pacific storm system will pass over the Central Rockies Monday but does not do much for us and will not even be noticeable. Quiet, dry, and gradual warming temperatures can be expected heading into mid-week next week. && .AVIATION... (06Z TAFS) Issued at 1015 PM MST Thu Nov 27 2025 VFR conditions will persist through the TAF period. BKN250 will continue overnight but will begin to clear out west to east late morning and through the afternoon hours. Low end breezes out of the southwest expected during the afternoon. && .FIRE WEATHER... Issued at 912 AM MST Thu Nov 27 2025 Low fire weather concerns through the forecast period as the region remains under a dry westerly flow pattern with storm systems passing to the north of the local area. Mild weather conditions will persist through the weekend with fair skies and generally light westerly winds with some light breeziness in the afternoon through Saturday. Temperatures will run about 5 to 7 degrees above normal through Saturday. A cold front will lower temperatures and shift winds more from the east for areas east of Deming on Sunday with higher gusts on west facing slopes of area mountains. There is a very low chance of precipitation for Monday as a weather system passes to the north of the area. Dry conditions return through the middle of next week.
