SUMMARY OF 800 AM PDT...1500 UTC...INFORMATION ---------------------------------------------- LOCATION...23.2N 119.6W ABOUT 615 MI...990 KM W OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF BAJA CALIFORNIA MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...30 MPH...45 KM/H PRESENT MOVEMENT...WNW OR 295 DEGREES AT 10 MPH...17 KM/H MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1008 MB...29.77 INCHES WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Ivo was located near latitude 23.2 North, longitude 119.6 West. Ivo is moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h). A turn toward the west at a slightly faster forward speed is expected later today. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts, and Ivo has degenerated into a remnant low. The remnant low is expected to dissipate by late Tuesday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
