.DISCUSSION...A strong atmospheric river will continue to impact
Northern California through today, with periods of moderate to
heavy rainfall, high mountain snow and moderate south winds. Showers
and isolated thunderstorms are expected tonight through
Saturday as a cold upper trough remains offshore. A brief reprieve
from the wet and active weather will be possible Saturday night
into Sunday morning, before another series of fronts brings a
return of modest precipitation and perhaps bouts of gusty winds
into early next week. Longer lasting dry weather is forecast
mid to late next week.
