Decaying thunderstorms in east central Kansas have produced several wind gusts of 40 to 60 mph between Manhattan and Hoyt Kansas during the past couple of hours. These winds may reach portions of Atchison and Leavenworth Counties by midnight. A few downed tree limbs may occur should these winds be observed, and sporadic power outages may also occur. If confidence in stronger wind gusts reaching these areas increases, a high wind warning may be required. $$
