...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WESTERN LINN COUNTY THROUGH 930
PM CDT...

At 907 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northwest of Blue Mound, or 10 miles southeast of Garnett,
moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Mound City, Parker, and Blue Mound.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
east central Kansas.
