Fire Weather Planning Forecast For NE Kansas/NW Missouri
National Weather Service Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO
358 PM CDT Thu Oct 16 2025

.DISCUSSION...
RH has dropped to the 30 to 40 percent range for some locations this afternoon
with southerly winds gusting up to 25 mph. RH should be a bit higher tomorrow.
Wetting rains are likely tomorrow evening into Saturday afternoon. Much drier air
moves in behind a cold front on Saturday night, with RH dropping below 30 percent
for many areas Sunday afternoon along with WNW winds gusting up to 20 mph. This could
yield some elevated fire weather concerns, especially for areas that miss out on
wetting rains tomorrow and Saturday.
