...Strong Southwest to West Winds Today...

Strong winds are expected through this evening with frequent gusts
near 40 mph. Areas of light rain or any isolated showers or
storms that develop may locally enhance the winds and could lead
to brief gusts over 50 mph. The strongest winds could bring down
tree limbs and blow around loose objects.

The combination of the strong winds, dry conditions, and
afternoon humidity between 20 to 30 percent may lead to blowing
dust in open and rural areas and localized reductions in
visibilities. Additionally, outdoor burning is discouraged as
fires could quickly spread in these conditions.

Motorists should be extra cautious today because the strong winds
will make for difficult travel conditions, especially for high
profile vehicles.
