...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southwestern
Jackson, south central Dubuque and northeastern Jones Counties
through 830 PM CDT...

At 738 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Canton, or 17 miles northwest of Maquoketa, moving south at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and minor flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Strong winds could break tree limbs, knock down weak trees
         and blow around unsecured objects. Slowing or redirecting
         of traffic due to ponding or flowing water. Closure of
         waterfront access due to flooding.

Locations impacted include...
Cascade, Wyoming, Onslow, Monmouth, Bernard, Canton, Emeline, South
Gary Owen, Garry Owen, Fillmore, Fillmore Recreation Area, Maquoketa
Caves State Park, Crab Town, Ironhills, and Temple Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring and may lead to localized flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Stay away from
flooded areas. Report any flooding to local law enforcement.
