...An area of snow will affect South central Rock island...
Northeastern Mercer...Southwestern Scott and Northeastern Muscatine
counties through 845 PM CST...

At 751 PM CST, a narrow band of snow was located along a line from
Pleasant Prairie to Andalusia...Preemption and Sherrard. This
band was moving southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Visibilities less than a 1 mile and wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar and trained spotters.

IMPACTS...Snow covered surfaces including roadways, bridges,
         overpasses, and sidewalks. Difficulty seeing while driving.
         Strong winds will make driving difficult.

Accumulations of less than an inch are expected.

Locations impacted include...
Rock Island, Blue Grass, Buffalo, Andalusia, Sherrard, Oak Grove,
Cable, Taylor Ridge, Montpelier, Preemption, Clark`s Ferry Recreation
Area, Midway Beach, Swedona, Pleasant Prairie, Wildcat Den State
Park, Buffalo Shores, and Coyne Center.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
