...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TODAY...
...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 11 AM CST MONDAY...

* WHAT...For the first Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills
  as low as 30 below expected. For the second Cold Weather Advisory,
  very cold wind chills as low as 23 below expected.

* WHERE...In Illinois, Jo Daviess and Stephenson Counties. In Iowa,
  Benton, Jackson, Jones, Linn, Buchanan, Delaware, and Dubuque
  Counties.

* WHEN...For the first Cold Weather Advisory, until noon CST today.
  For the second Cold Weather Advisory, from 3 AM to 11 AM CST
  Monday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
  Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
  exposed to these temperatures.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chill values may fall to similar levels
  again Tuesday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
