.DISCUSSION...

Daytime mixing won`t kick in until closer to noon, but with such
a light wind field in the vertical, it won`t result in much/if any
related gustiness. However, with a rather dry sub cloud layer,
the mixing will push min afternoon humidities into the mid 30
percents. If mixing is deeper, more vigorous - min humidities
could push closer to 30 percent.

In addition, increasing signal in the short term guidance for a
broken band of showers/storms to develop west to east across
central IA into northwest IL by 4 pm. Current layout holds most/if
not all of this threat north of the burn site until the evening -
but diminishing in areal extent. Don`t expect impacts at the burn
site as this time. If a storm could be realized, high cloud bases
with ample dry air below would work to evaporate some/most of the
associated rainfall. The rain cooled air would promote localized
variable gustiness in the low perhaps mid 20s mph.

The Grassland Fire Danger Index -GFDI- does not account for
precipitation that occurs or any snow on the ground. Please
make appropriate adjustments.
