...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT WORTH AND NORTHERN CERRO GORDO
COUNTIES THROUGH 1015 AM CDT...

At 943 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 5 miles north of Northwood to near Manly to 6
miles northwest of Rockwell. Movement was northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and additional heavy rainfall of
         one to two inches.

SOURCE...Mason City Airport gusted to 50 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Ponding of water on roadways, low
         visibilities, and rises in small streams and creeks.

Locations impacted include...
Mason City, Northwood, Nora Springs, Manly, Mason City Municipal
Airport, Clear Lake, Plymouth, Fertile, Kensett, Grafton, Hanlontown,
Rock Falls, Burchinal, Portland, Bolan, Clear Lake State Park, and
Northwood Municipal.

This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 186 and 218.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until noon CDT for
north central Iowa.
