Today:

Patchy dense fog and some clouds continue around the region early
this morning. A few valley areas are reporting visibility down to
under a mile at times. Temperatures range from the lower 30s to the
lower 40s across the state with light winds across the state.

High pressure will remain over the region today. Clouds will hold on
for a while this morning and eventually thin in the afternoon. Today
will remain on the chilly side with highs in the lower 50s north to
the mid to upper 50s southeast. Winds will be light and variable for
the region today.

Tonight and beyond:

The high will remain across the region tonight with generally clear
skies. Lows are expected to dip to the lower 30s northeast and north
while the central to southeast counties remain in the mid 30s. As
the high pulls north Friday into Saturday, a milder day will return
for Friday with highs in the upper 50s to the lower 60s. Clouds will
be on the increase Friday evening with showers returning to the
state Saturday.  With the clouds and showers, highs will be held
back to the upper 40s in the northwest to the lower to mid 50s in the
southeast. Clouds will linger on Sunday with a few showers northeast
in the morning. By afternoon, some breaks in the clouds will occur
south and west. Highs Sunday will still be cool north in the lower
50s while the south and west will reach the mid 50s. Monday and
Tuesday will see a warming trend with generally sunny skies. Highs
top out in the upper 50s to lower 60s each day.
