This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight

There is a slight chance for thunderstorm development this
afternoon mainly over eastern Iowa or perhaps over northern Iowa.
If a storm develops, it is not expected to reach severe levels.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Periods of thunderstorms will impact the area from Wednesday
night into Saturday. There is a slight risk for thunderstorms to
become severe on Thursday. It`s too early to determine the severe
storm potential beyond Thursday.

In addition to severe storms, there is a slight risk for heavy
rain that could lead to flash flooding Thursday and Friday.
Further, rises on area creeks and rivers are possible late this
week into this weekend.

Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight.
