A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the area today. Please
refer to the National Weather Service website at
weather.gov/desmoines for further details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Very cold temperatures are forecast from Wednesday night through
Thursday. Wind chills of 10 to 20 below zero are possible around
sunrise Thursday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed, however snow reports are
always appreciated.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight

Light snow is forecast to move across the area today.
Accumulations will be minimal in northern and western Iowa, but
from central into southern and eastern Iowa an inch or more of
accumulation may occur and cause minor travel impacts.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Very cold temperatures are forecast from Wednesday night through
Thursday. Wind chills of 10 to 20 below zero are possible around
sunrise Thursday.
