Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Iowa
National Weather Service Des Moines IA
315 PM CDT Thu Mar 27 2025

The Fire Weather Planning Forecast is routinely updated by around 6am
and by around 3:30pm. For the latest forecast information, please
use the Hourly Weather Graph Forecasts at weather.gov/desmoines

.DISCUSSION...

Temperatures into the upper 70s and low 80s on Friday with wind
gusting 35-40 mph at times. While relative humidity around 40-45%
will help to mitigate higher impact fire weather concerns,
conditions will remain elevated with cured fuels still in place.
Increasing precipitation chances through with weekend will put a
damper on any concerns through that time.
