At 157 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 12 nm northwest of Taconite
Harbor to 10 nm northwest of Twin Points Safe Harbor to 8 nm
northwest of French River to 18 nm west of Duluth Harbor, moving
east at 25 knots. Wind gusts of up to 30 knots were observed up to
20 miles away from these storms.

Superior Entry, Sand Island, Barkers Island, Twin Points Safe Harbor,
Tofte, Beaver Bay, Herbster, McQuade Harbor, Meyers Beach, York
Island, Larsmont, Superior Harbor, Split Rock Lighthouse, Eagle
Island, Port Wing Harbor, Knife River Marina, Castle Danger, Sugar
Loaf Cove, Tofte Safe Harbor, and Duluth Lift Bridge Channel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
