.DISCUSSION...

Morning sunshine will give way to scattered showers and storms
this afternoon. Convection should start in the noon to 2 pm time
range, then continue through the afternoon before dissipating
early in the evening. Expect the primary hazards this afternoon
and early evening to be cloud-to-ground lightning strikes and up
to half-inch of rainfall, and erratic outflow wind gusts to 40
mph. Otherwise, temperatures should get into the mid 70s with
westerly winds today. Tuesday, a drier airmass and trailing mid-
level subsidence will create a downturn in shower and storm
chances, making a drier and sunnier day with high temperatures in
the low 80s.
