...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 9 PM CDT MONDAY...

.DISCUSSION...No precipitation is expected through mid-week.

Winds shift slightly to become south overnight but otherwise
remain sustained 8 to 15 mph with gusts of 20 mph. Relative
humidity recovery tonight will be poor, only forecast to rebound
back to 45-50% under a weak low-level inversion. The already dry
start and continued breezy southerly winds Monday morning will lead
to another day of critical fire weather conditions as things dry out
again Monday. Minimum relative humidity Monday again drops to 15-18%
and winds sustained 12-15 mph gust to 25 mph. Red Flag Warnings are
in effect. While Monday evening the winds are forecast to slowly
decrease to southerly around 5-8 mph, overnight relative humidity
recovery rebounds back to 65-70% into early Tuesday morning. Tuesday
is expected to feature slightly higher minimum relative humidity and
a bit lighter winds compared to Monday. This day remains forecast for
near-critical fire weather conditions as hot temperatures in the
mid-80s persist.
