...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CHEYENNE AND SOUTH CENTRAL
MORRILL COUNTIES THROUGH 245 AM MDT...

At 211 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms
containing very heavy rainfall along a line extending from 6 miles
northeast of Potter to 9 miles west of Peetz. Movement was northeast
at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. Very heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Very heavy rainfall my result in travel hazards and
         ponding on area roadways. Travelers are urged to use
         caution.

Locations impacted include...
Sidney, Potter, Dalton, Gurley, Colton, Brownson, Lorenzo, Sidney
Municipal Airport, and Cheyenne County Fairgrounds.

This includes Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 39 and
66.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
