.DISCUSSION...
Gusty west downslope flow will continue this afternoon as an upper
level Rocky Mountain ridge breaks down. Near critical to
locally/brief critical conditions are anticipated before winds
gradually decrease by late afternoon. Maximum wind gusts will be
around 30 mph, while humidity drops to around 10%. Fair
conditions will give way to clouds this evening as moisture
streams into the area ahead of the next storm system. Most of the
moisture will be confined to the mid and upper levels of the
atmosphere, which sets the stage for virga around sunset. Erratic
gusty winds are possible in/near any evaporating rain shower.
Winds switch to northerly overnight and will restrengthen midday
tomorrow. More widespread and persistent precipitation is expected
after noon. Overnight humidity recovery will be near 75%, while
minimum values tomorrow will be near 45%.
