Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
133 AM MDT Sun Jun 30 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Stationary front lays across eastern Colorado...north to Laramie and
eventually to near Riverton this morning. This front separates moist
air to the east from drier air over Carbon County to the west.
Southeasterly low level winds east of the front is drawing higher
dewpoints north into the region. The front will be the focusing
mechanism for increased showers and storms today through Monday
afternoon/evening. Some storms could be severe this afternoon and
evening. Afternoon humidity expected to stay well above critical levels
today and Monday with excellent overnight recoveries. Begin to dry out
Tuesday as westerly winds push the low level moisture east into central
Nebraska.
