Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
459 AM EDT Sun Apr 6 2025

Light rain will continue across Pennsylvania into the morning as
an area of low pressure and its associated cold front move through
the Commonwealth. The trailing cold front will slow down during
the day, causing showers to linger especially over southern
Pennsylvania. As colder air moves in later Sunday afternoon and
evening, post frontal rain showers across the northwest will
likely begin to mix with or change to snow showers. Highs on
Sunday will range from near 40 in the northwest to the mid 50s in
the southeast.

Another wave of low pressure passing to our south will spread
another round of precipitation into the Keystone State during the
late evening. Temperatures should be cold enough for snow over the
higher elevations of north-central and northeastern Pennsylvania,
with some areas seeing a coating to an inch of snow by sunrise
Monday. Low temperatures Sunday night will range from the upper
20s and low 30s across the northern tier, to near 40 in the
southeast.

Colder than normal weather will remain with us through midweek.
Farmers with temperature sensitive crops should take note that
temperatures will drop low enough to make frost and freeze
conditions likely.
