Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
511 PM EDT Tue Aug 5 2025

High pressure over eastern Canada will keep mainly dry weather
across the Keystone State this week. Partly to mostly sunny skies
will prevail for the most part, with a chance of a shower or storm
at times into the upcoming weekend. Some haze and smoke will
occur from time to time as well.

Low temperatures tonight will range from the mid-50s across
northwestern Pennsylvania to the upper 60s near Philadelphia. High
temperatures on Wednesday will range from the lower 70s across
higher elevations of the Laurel Highlands to the mid-80s across
southeastern Pennsylvania.

Smoke from the Canadian wildfires will continue filtering into
the region, with increased concentrations of fine particle
pollution across the Commonwealth. A Code Orange Air Quality Alert
will remain in effect for portions of northeastern Pennsylvania
through Wednesday, where air pollution may become unhealthy for
sensitive groups.
