Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
522 AM EST Thu Nov 7 2024

A scattered shower will remain possible across the southern tier
of Pennsylvania early this morning before dry conditions prevail
for the rest of the day. Partly to mostly cloudy skies are
expected area wide this morning before decreasing late this
afternoon into the evening. High temperatures today will range
from the mid-50s across northwestern Pennsylvania to the upper 70s
across southeastern Pennsylvania.

Clear skies with light winds Thursday evening into Friday morning
will allow for a much cooler overnight period compared to previous
evenings, with low temperatures by daybreak on Friday ranging
from the mid-30s across the Laurel Highlands to the mid-to-upper
40s along Lake Erie and near Philadelphia.

Dry conditions with increased winds on Friday will bring about a
renewed risk for wildfire spread across portions of southeastern
Pennsylvania during the afternoon hours. Chances for rainfall
increase Sunday morning, as a more widespread rainfall enters the
Commonwealth from the west.
