Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
550 AM EDT Sat Aug 9 2025

Surface high pressure extending from Eastern Pennsylvania
to the Coast of Maine will combine with a building ridge of
high pressure aloft and deep dry air to give us a zero percent
chance of rain through Monday.

Our lengthy string of dry weather could extend into Tuesday
night.

During this weekend and early next week we`ll have mainly clear
conditions with just some areas of thin, high clouds, light wind
and slowly warming day and nighttime temperatures.

Humidity will stay rather low through the weekend before
gradually rising into next week as the high pressure area
slides to the east and weakens.

The next chance of rain won`t arrive until at least Tuesday
afternoon over Western PA and not until Wednesday over the rest of
Central PA.

High temperatures today and Sunday will be mainly in the low to
mid 80s. Low tonight will be comfortably cool and generally in
the low to mid 50s.

The next chance of widespread showers and storms will be
later Tuesday, as a cold front nears the region. Until then,
expect mainly dry conditions.
