.DISCUSSION...
A stretch of Fall-like weather with conditions more typical of
late September will close out the month of August across
Pennsylvania. High and low temperatures will be 5 to 15 degrees
below the historical average for the last week of August.
Most of the time it will be dry, aside from late Thursday and
Thursday night as a cold front brings the chance for rain. The
rain showers (and perhaps a thunderstorm) will be mainly across
the ANF and other locations N of I-80. The wind Friday will be
from the northwest at 10-12 MPH, but otherwise, the wind will
be less than 10 MPH, with much of the time less than 5 MPH
through the entire next 7 days.
Relative humidity levels will fall below 40 percent during the
afternoon hours each day through next Tuesday. Between Bradford
and State College will be driest area with some days falling to
around 30 percent.
