.DISCUSSION...
Minimum RH`s will generally range between 25-30% across the Brush
Country today with Energy Release Components (ERCs) between the
50th-
80th percentile. In addition, 20-foot winds will max out near 20-25
mph. The combination of these conditions will lead to near-critical
to critical fire conditions across the Rio Grande Plains and Brush
Country, and a Fire Danger Statement has been issued for Webb
Country through tonight accordingly. The big concern for Friday will
be winds between 15-20 mph over the western Brush Country combining
with min RH`s in the 25-30% range. Resulting in elevated to critical
fire weather concerns late this week over the aforementioned region.
Improving fire weather conditions can be expected this weekend into
early next week as min RHs creep up slightly and winds decrease
after Saturday. That being said, elevated fire conditions may
continue into Saturday over the Rio Grande Plains.
