905 FZUS54 KCRP 081904 CWFCRP Coastal Waters Forecast for Texas National Weather Service Corpus Christi TX 104 PM CST Wed Jan 8 2025 Middle Texas coastal waters from Baffin Bay to Matagorda ship channel out to 60 nautical miles. Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves...along with occasional height of the average highest 10 percent of the waves. GMZ200-090730- 104 PM CST Wed Jan 8 2025 .SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS... North of Port Aranasas, north winds of 10 to 15 knots will continue into the evening within the bays and in the nearshore waters. South of Port Aransas, the winds will remain 20 to 25 knots early this afternoon, but will diminish toward evening. Offshore the winds and waves will remain moderate to strong with waves of 6 to 8 feet into Thursday morning. The weak winds under 20 knots will be short lived and winds are expected to shift from the northeast to the southeast and increase to over 20 knots once again Thursday. Low end rain chances will increase to 30-50% tonight and jump to 90-97% Thursday. Strong onshore flow quickly shifts northwest early Friday in response to an approaching boundary. Small Craft Advisory conditions are likely to persist through early Saturday. Flow becomes weak to moderate and briefly shifts back onshore late this weekend before veering northeast and becoming strong again in response to another boundary early next week.
