.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1230 AM CDT Tue Jun 17 2025

The mid level trough that has been hanging over the coast the past
couple of days will fill a bit but more importantly drift eastward
out over the water as the ridge west of the area strengthens. This
will help our weather to be quieter the next couple of days with
slightly drier air filtering in above the surface. Temperatures
the next several days will be similar to normal from the low to
mid 90s east to a bit above 10 west. Most of the area will
experience a low to moderate heat risk over the next couple of
days, but there is a small region west where temperatures could be
high enough to have an elevated concern, that said...expect it to
be isolated enough to keep away the need for a heat advisory.

We`ve been watching a tropical wave progged to move into the
western Gulf late this week, and the latest guidance would
indicate much of the deepest moisture remaining south of the area.
This has led to a decrease in rain chances, though will still hold
on to low to moderate chances at this time, and it`s entirely
possible things change again and the ridging doesn`t hold this
wave south, but time will tell. Temperature forecasts are a bit
warmer though the end of the week and into the weekend than they
were, but still near to slightly below normal.

.AVIATION...
(12Z TAFS)
Issued at 613 AM CDT Tue Jun 17 2025

Patchy fog has developed across portions of the Brush Country,
with visibility observations dropping to below 1SM at times. This
is thanks to light and variable winds. Fog begins burning up
through the mid-morning. Conditions will remain mostly VFR
this afternoon with a wind shift expected in the Brush Country
from S`ly to SE`ly generally at 15-20 kts gusting as high as 30
kts. Tonight, winds begin to subside, while remaining mostly VFR.
By Wednesday morning/sunrise, any location that drops below 10 kt
winds may briefly experience patchy fog, reducing flight
categories to MVFR/IFR.

South-southeasterly moderate to fresh breeze (BF 4-5) will persist
into next week, with a few periods of Small Craft Exercise Caution

conditions through Wednesday but then the remainder of the period
features moderate chances for showers and thunderstorms across
the waters.
