The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Waters from South Santee River to Edisto Beach out 40 NM...

* Until 245 PM EST.

* At 141 PM EST, strong thunderstorms were located along a line from
  over Bull Breakers to 13 NM east of Edisto Offshore Reef, moving
  northeast at 35 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds
           and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Y-73 Reef, Capers Mid Shelf, Comanche Reef, Doug Mellichamp Reef,
  Jimmy Leland Tug, Edisto Buoy, Capers Reef, Bull Breakers, Hector
  Reef, Joe Shuford Reef, Charleston Sixty and Cape Romain Reef.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
