...PATCH DENSE FOG THIS MORNING...

Satellite imagery, web cams, and reports from the Charleston
Harbor Pilots indicate that patchy dense fog and very low stratus
is impacting Charleston Harbor and the adjacent coastal waters
this morning. Visibilities could be reduced to a half mile or less
at times, resulting in hazardous navigation conditions. The fog
and very low stratus is expected to scatter out and result in
improving conditions by mid morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners are urged to navigate with extreme care. If you must
navigate in these conditions, proceed with caution. Use proper
fog signals, including fog horns. Make sure all navigational
running lights are on.

Please relay any reports of sea fog to the Charleston or Tybee
Island Coast Guard stations and ask them to immediately forward
your report to the National Weather Service in Charleston.
