...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
...REPLACES FLOOD ADVISORY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Georgia, including the following
  county, Chatham.

* WHEN...Until 615 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 316 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.
    Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen over the past 6
    hours.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in
    the warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Tybee Island, Wilmington Island, Fort Pulaski National
    Monument, Whitemarsh Island, Skidaway Island, Golden Isles,
    Wilmington Park, Wilmington, Turners Rock and Savannah Beach.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
